Langrisser 3 Overview Langrisser 3 Free Download for PC is the sequel to Langrisser II, released in a number of Asian countries but not in the West. It is the first 32-bit installment in the series. Langrisser III introduced a non-linear relationship system similar to dating sims. Depending on the player's choices and actions, the feelings of the female allies will change towards the player character, who will end up with the female ally he is closest with. Story Even though Langrisser III is titled as such, it is a prequel to the first two titles in the series, and deals with the creation of the sword Langrisser. Consequentially, it is also set before the prequel series Elthlead, and lays the foundation for the wars which take place in that strategy series. The game also introduces the genealogies which dominate most of the Langrisser series, with the exception of Langrisser IV, which is set on the Western continent Yeless.

Support. I've owned the game on my JP Saturn since I think 12 years ago, but have never bothered to play it through. If I have time, maybe I'll burn a copy for my PS1. Did you just say that you can ONLY play it on an emulator??? That's no fun. Oh well, I still need to play through the translations of Shining Force II Scenarios II and III.
My current consoles: PS1, PS2, PSP, Saturn, DC, X-Box and Wii all are modded to the point that they are region free (PSP is anyway) and they can play burnt discs. My Genesis, SNES and N64 are modded to be region free (so easy with the Nintendo systems)!

3DO, Neo Geo, Neo Geo Pocket Color, PS3, Game Gear, Game Boy original/color/advance/DS are all region free anyway. I need to get me another PC Engine/Turboduo! I have games I can't play right now. Point is, I HATE how things are region locked. Click to expand. As far as I know, the only Langrisser game released in English was Warsong (Langrisser 1) on the Genesis.

I could be wrong, but that's all I can think of. I used to have Der Langriesser FX on the PC-FX, which was cool. It has the best quality intro of that era.
Other than that, I've had part II on the JP Mega Drive, and then the three Saturn games (III, IV and V). Never really did bother much with it though, other then owning some of the games.
There were a lot of other games I was interested in before slowly moving through the Langrisser games in Japanese.
Not sure if you guys are familiar with this old TRPG series, but I made an informative topic about it yonks ago at another gaming forum which I'll share below. The main reason I'm posting this is that I found a (Chinese) editor for the first game in the series, Warsong (Sega Mega Drive/Genesis) which has allowed me to make another Hard Mode. The game is already pretty tough for the average player, but a strategy veteran always wants a greater challenge. As it turned out, 'Amuseum' already made a pretty decent Hard Mode for the game which he called NeoWarsong; so technically all I'm doing is building upon his release with a few tweaks here and there, so once it's ready I'll contact him about it and probably refer to it as NeoWarsong +. It has been a lot of fun so far although many of the enemy commanders share the same stats in every level they appear in which is a bit bland, but can't be helped with the editor. I was extremely happy to learn that there was an even better editor for Langrisser II (also a Genesis release), which is ten times better than the first game.
Langrisser Ii
Again some consider it pretty tough already and that's fair for a first-timer, but it really needs a Hard Mode, so I've taken it upon myself to be the first to make one. The editor is all in Chinese, but I can easily understand what most of it does and have already done a lot of work; although the game has 31 big levels if you include the side chapters. I'm familiar with the Warsong or Langrisser (in Japan) series. Free midi files download for yamaha keyboard. Although, I never played it since it was mostly a Sega Genesis series. I didn't own a Sega Genesis or Mega Drive until much later in life. So there are a bunch of games on there I haven't played.
As discussed in another thread, the Retron 5 will allow me to play many Japanese exclusive games that I missed for so many years, including Langrisser. When I start playing a series, I can't just play the first game and stop. I gotta play the whole thing. They are highly addictive and thus tons of fun, as well as providing a decent level of challenge for first-timers and folk that haven't played them to death. Warsong in particular can have some pretty huge battles, and even though it's not as pretty as the rest it's worth playing for that reason; the remakes are all scaled down. I've always recommended starting the series like this: Warsong (Genesis), then Langrisser II (Genesis). When you feel in the mood again, track down the PC version of Langrisser (the fan-translated remake of the first game) and then Der Langrisser.

Langrisser III still hasn't been translated unless you can stand to read scripts while you play, but the fourth game on the PSX has. I imagine the fifth game in the series will be translated in the near future as well. They've already done the PSX versions of Langrisser 1+2, but aren't releasing it since they were unable to get some sort of publishing deal (virtual console or something?). Working 60+ hour weeks and on Saturdays is good for the wallet, bad for the hobbies! $ Still, I think I'm about 70% complete with each of my Hard Modes for Warsong and Langrisser II.
It's still a ton of fun, and I'm really enjoying the enhanced difficulty. Would love to make the GBA Fire Emblem games harder as well, although some efforts have been made already I'm sure. Doubt there are editors as good as the ones I've been using though!
And I've still got to actually try out the existing 'Hard' difficulties within those games; I just kept losing my save files and didn't have the energy to play them again after beating the Normal difficulties, but I finally figured out how to get the GameFAQs saves to work on my Xbox, so I'll get around to that eventually. I just hate how the enemies have such low accuracy, so that still needs an overhaul. In any case, I'm still making progress in the shadows.
